The Quilt Ladies Home: December 2014

My Grandma C,

When I was a little girl my Grandma C lived with us. She had the basement in our home, she went to work outside of the house every day. We had house rules and one was that you had to be invited to visit her in your apartment.

I loved Sunday nights, she would usually invite, and almost always for popcorn, a big glass of ice cold milk for me and sometimes my brother too. But, most the time it was just me.

She had this long black leather/vinyl couch, the sleek 60’s kind, that was really wide and I loved sitting on it, as my legs would stick straight out. She’s wrap me in a blanket and serve me popcorn, cold milk and we’d watch Bonanza, then I was off to bed. I’d only see her for moments the rest of the week. But, Sunday night was perfect.
